Sustainability and Eco-efficiency
The restoration of the house, originally built with traditional materials, has been carried out as sustainably as possible, with a focus on reducing energy costs and gas emissions.
The old construction with stone walls is, in itself, a type of building that helps to maintain the interior temperature with a very low energy consumption.
Insulation
The property has a significant degree of thermal insulation in the roof, the windows feature high-quality double glazing, and the aluminium frames include thermal breaks.
Air-to-water heating
Underfloor radiant heating, air conditioning, and hot water are generated through air-to-water heat pump technology. The temperature controls are individual, to avoid wasting energy in unused rooms.
Intelligent and Sustainable Efficiency
All the lighting is LED. The appliances are programmable and have energy ratings of A+, A, or B. There is a home automation system controlling all the installations to minimise any avoidable energy expenditure.
Solar Energy
The electricity used in the property partly comes from renewable energy, specifically from a virtual battery generated by photovoltaic solar panels installed on another property.
Parking
In the parking area, there are two electric vehicle chargers which allow two electric vehicles to be charged easily and efficiently at the same time.
Cleaning
For cleaning the property, eco-friendly cleaning products that are kind to the environment are used.
Swimming Pool
The pool operates using saltwater electrolysis, providing a more natural and sustainable water. Additionally, the filtration system runs at night to optimise energy consumption and reduce environmental impact.
Rainwater Harvesting
Rainwater is collected from the roof, which is directed to the old water well that already existed on the plot, and is used to service the garden’s irrigation system and terrace cleaning.
The garden features artificial turf to reduce the use of irrigation water.
Waste
In terms of awareness and education, efforts are made to convey the message of waste reduction as much as possible, and information is provided on the selective recycling that should be carried out for the waste produced.
